We are happy to announce two new additions to the Foundation’s Board of Directors, and give a HUGE thank you to a couple of guys who rolled off the Board. At our Annual Meeting, held just prior to the Alumni Party on October 6, we elected Paul Hensley (PC Sp. ’84) and Trey Moebes (PC Sp. ‘00) to the Bengal Lancer Alumni Foundation Board of Directors. Paul lives in San Antonio, where he is the Chief Financial Officer for Holt Caterpillar. He has been involved with mentoring the Lancer Actives for several years and brings a contagious optimism to the Board. Paul will also be a much-needed “man on the ground” in San Antonio, available to assist the Actives or interface with the University. Our second new Director is Trey Moebes. Trey lives in Houston, where he is the Tax Manager at Marathon Oil Corporation. Trey has been instrumental in energizing the Houston chapter of our Alumni Network, as the prime motivator and head chef for our annual crawfish boil. We are excited to have Paul and Trey on the Board, and are looking forward to hearing their ideas.
Bringing new guys onto the Board, unfortunately, means saying farewell to the guys whose terms have come to an end. In this case, Raul Quintero (PC Sp. ’85) and Mike Sandlin (PC Fa. ’74) are ending their official service to the Foundation. Raul was one of our initial Directors, and he has been tireless in engaging with alumni from the mid-80’s. Mike joined the Board a couple of years after the Foundation was chartered, and used his business experience to bring insight into our fundraising and marketing strategies. We will miss Raul and Mike, but both have pledged to continue helping the Foundation achieve its mission.
